Sinopsis: In a technocratic underground city in the year 2202, a mysterious scientist tries to keep a clone, Proteus, alive more than six days using memory implants. Humans live in underground cities because of radiation, pollution, a virus epidemic, global warming and ozone depletion. Alpha X-1 human clones are bred to go topside and search for survivors and a cure for the virus. However, with no memories of their own, the clones die after six days. Dr. Xenon, the leader of Omega City and the genetic donor for all Alpha X-1s, hopes the electronic transmission of photographic images of a beautiful woman directly into the clone's cerebral cortex to convey love is the answer. The experimental story unfolds using a unique combination of live-action and archival footage as well as digital still photographs.
