A simple narrative, this movie has all the clichés of a classic Noir: the femme fatale, the entrapped man, shootouts, double-crosses, the tightening noose of fate, and a fall from moral uprightness. On the other hand, since it relies solely on confusing titles to tell the tale, I suppose it isnt a simple narrative after all. In fact, it may not even be considered a movie. Fred Camper describes it this way: A fanciful nourish plot unfolds in on-screen text to a sonic collage of overheated movie music. |
