Rosebud is an intense abstract exploration into the physical properties of sound and light, a decidedly non-narrative navigation of trauma, carnal passion and the human desire for resolution. Drawing from the language of music and featuring no cuts, edits or traditional cinematic devices, Rosebud attempts to illuminate something which cannot be communicated in any other way.
The source footage for Rosebud was shot in one day without leaving a bed. It has been screened and exhibited extensively in Australia. |
