The project Interactivos? at the Medialab-Prado in Madrid has developed a methodology of open and collaborative work, inspired by the science of garage, which enables interdisciplinary groups to work intensively for a few weeks and move forward with prototyping of projects that are been selected in a public call por projects.
Marcos García and Laura Fernández, from Medialab-Prado have the clues to the method:
What is meant by interactivity: when anybody can join the processes of production, beyond the old idea of understanding interactivity only as a choice at the reception.
Format of the workshops: tutors + working groups with collaborators + criticism sessions + open discussion + guest speakers + cultural facilitators
Objective: To create an environment that facilitates the development of skills from each other and allow them to exercise them from the exchange of knowledge among group members.
How does it work in practice?
